With increasing severe weather affecting the United States, being prepared, weather aware, and proactive about the dangers facing a venue or festival can save lives. The National Independent Venue Foundation is committed to sharing resources to help venues, promoters, and festivals address weather-related risks before they occur. See resources below to get yourself ready to face weather challenges.

Additionally, the Emergency Relief Fund is open to independent venues, promoters and festivals facing unforeseeable situations beyond recipients’ control, including but not limited to natural disasters, natural hazards, manmade disasters, or acts of terrorism. U.S. CHAMBER OF COMMERCE FOUNDATION SMALL BUSINESS READINESS FOR RESILIENCY PROGRAM

The Small Business Readiness for Resiliency (R4R) initiative seeks to slow post-disaster small-business failures by encouraging investments in readiness and resiliency during pre-disaster times. This program guides any interested small business in preparing for a disaster, and then offers quick-turn relief funding of $5,000 for those prepared businesses after a federal disaster declaration is made in their region.
